About Gothenburg RORO Terminal

Gothenburg RORO Terminal is located in the Port of Gothenburg at the mouth of the Göta River. Several vessels from various destinations in Europe call at the port regularly each week. Gothenburg RORO Terminal specializes in roro and vehicle handling and is an important part of the Swedish import and export chain.

About the position

The position involves work such as machine operation, unloading and loading of goods, as well as hands-on work such as driving vehicles and securing cargo. Your daily tasks and responsibilities in your role may also include forklift driving, efficiently stacking and storing products, and working with other tasks related to terminal work.

In the port, you work together with other shifts, which means you will have varied tasks with a focus on machine operation. To ensure you and your team perform the operation as efficiently as possible, communication via radio is used between different functions, so it is important that you can communicate clearly in Swedish. English may also be used when contacting customers. The operation is open 24/7.

The working hours for this position are during the day.

About you

We are looking for someone who enjoys working both physically and outdoors and has no problem working regardless of weather conditions. You see safety as an important part of your performance to prevent accidents. It is also important that you can handle stress and maintain focus in high-pressure situations as the pace at the terminal is fast.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and see that this is a position for someone who is self-assured, responsible, and enjoys teamwork.

Requirements for the position

• High school diploma
• At least three years of work experience
• Driver's license B (manual transmission)
• Forklift license A+B
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Many of the tasks at the terminal are specific to the workplace and require extensive training. Therefore, it is a requirement for the position to be able to participate in one of the following two training sessions:

Training session 1: March 31 - April 9

Training session 2: May 5 - May 14

NOTE! To be eligible for the part-time position, you need to study full-time or have another primary occupation at 100%.

Mobile Consultant:

You will be employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work at our clients. Being a mobile consultant means that you are employed by DFDS Professionals to perform work at client companies, where your workplace, working hours, and tasks may vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and hiring may occur before the application deadline.
